Future Perfect

Civil disobedience is a public, non-violent and conscientious breach of law undertaken with the aim of bringing about a change in …government policies (Rawls, 1971) cited in the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.

The purpose is…to force negotiation with “recalcitrant officials” and “to put an end to one’s personal complicity in the injustice which flows from obedience to unjust law” (Gray, 1999).

A lesson in the future perfect.
