Hardly Here

After more than 7 years I have picked up a paint brush again.
I am busy creating the tabula rasa. Did a coat of white paint last night; and will a do a second coat of paint tonight.

It felt really refreshing to begin on something creative.

Happy Birthday Eli!

We had a minor event in our home to celebrate Eli turning 1. (Hannah and Eli and now both 1 until the middle of March when Hannah turns 2).

There weren’t enough party hats for everyone but there was enough cake.

We just had a lovely 10 day family holiday in the Natal Southern Drakensberg. (31st December 2009 to 10 January 2010). We played in rivers, visited dams and animals and walked for hours in the un-tarred roads in this quite tranquil environment. I took about 70 photographs (I mainly use a SLR film camera so I don’t take as many photographs as the digital folk do; but the ones I take are often beautiful – as I choose my shots more carefully). I will also now, as policy, be uploading scanned copies of all the photographs to my account on http://www.flickr.com. However 99% of the photographs will be made private and only visible to friends and family. So… if you want to see them either create yourself a flickr account; or get someone to create one for you. (They are free) Once you have done that, contact me with your flickr user name – and I will add you to my list of people allowed access.
